In scripture, justice is associated with vengeance, retribution, judgment, and punishment, as well as uprightness, blamelessness and righteousness.

The clear meaning of “justice” is “what is right” or “what is normal” — the way things are supposed to be.

The truth about our Salvation in Christ is simple, but profound. Our sins are evidence of our human fallen nature. The things we do because of our disobedience to God and His word are obvious. Just look around and see the wickedness of man’s heart, and the absence of divine morals. The lies, killings, division, and godlessness…..the hurts go on and on. This was identified long ago in the book of Genesis when the Lord spoke about his plan to redeem fallen mankind (Gen 3:22).

The first Adam with his wife Eve disobeyed and here we are—now when we read Ezekiel 18 we see that God, even in the Old Testament Days gave man a way to correct his mistake by obeying His Word. There were to turn toward Him for cleansing and purification through the blood sacrifice of animals. However, now our justification can only come through the sacrificial life of Christ, the Messiah, the Lamb of God.

Today we sit as followers of Christ representing the whole plan of God the Father to redeem sinful mankind. This was totally accomplished through His Son Jesus—who is the Emmanuel “God With Us.”

Ezekiel 18 put the responsibility on us to receive the Lord’s Word and cleanse ourselves by Jesus’ truth. To say, as we read in Heb 3:7-8, “if you hear his voice…harden not your heart,” would mean if you hear His Voice calling us to worship Him, then do not harden your hearts. This is YOUR Day to be saved and we can Rejoice that “Due Process & Justice” was served by Jesus long ago for your peace with God.

We are justified in Christ Jesus, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
